Bates College Martagon wraps up season in consolation semifinals at CSA individual nationals

Bates women’s squash junior Andy Martagon fell to Stanford University’s Lucia Bicknell in three games Saturday in the Holleran West consolation semifinals at the College Squash Association Individual Championships. 

Martagon (Puebla, Mexico) finishes her season with an overall record of 11-11 after losing 3-0 (11-7, 11-5, 11-5) to Bicknell at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center.

She went 1-2 at individual nationals after going 10-9 during the regular season while playing at the top of the Bates lineup. For her performance, Martagon earned first team All-NESCAC honors for the second straight year.
