Christian Thomas of the University of Maine football team signed an undrafted free agent deal with the Las Vegas Raiders on April 26.
Thomas was a key player for the Black Bears during the 2025 season, leading the team with 120 tackles. This total ranks as the eleventh highest in a single season in program history and was also second-most among all Colonial Athletic Association players that year. In addition to his tackling, Thomas led Maine in tackles for loss, recording twelve such plays that resulted in sixty yards lost for opponents. He also finished second on the team in sacks with five, forced and recovered one fumble each, and broke up three passes.
His performance earned him recognition on both the All-CAA First Team and All-New England Team.
The signing highlights Thomas’s contributions to Maine’s football program as he moves forward into his professional career. The university said it is committed to developing champions with integrity.
