The Husson University women’s soccer team landed an NAIA transfer to its 2023-24 recruiting class. Rocky Mountain College transfer Cassy Schilter has committed to attend Husson in the Fall of 2023.

Schilter comes to Husson following a stellar high school career at W.F. West High School in Chehalis, Washington.

A four-year starter and team captain as a senior was a three-time EVCO conference all-league selection, WIAA athlete of the week and a 2021 Lewis County All-Area girls’ soccer selection as a defender.

Additionally, Schilter played seven years of club soccer for Blackhills FC.

Academically, Schilter was a arts department award winner for photography, member of the National Honor Society and Chehalis FFA Chapter along with earning dean’s list twice at Rocky Mountain.

Schilter plans to study marketing communications at Husson, “I chose Husson because it was the best fit for me with soccer and my academics,” said Schilter. “I want to thank my family for always being there for me throughout this process and my coaches at Blackhills FC for supporting me and catching me throughout the years.”

Schilter joins a loaded recruiting class of Lahna Descheneau, Lynsee Reed, Taylor Isom, Ella Hosford, Paige Dunn and Rylee Speed in the 2023-24 recruiting class. All seven players will join a women’s soccer program that won the NAC east division championship this past fall and finished as the NAC tournament runner-up. Additionally, the Eagles produced NAC player of the year (Natalie Aviolla), rookie of the year (Addi Laslie) and defensive player of the year (Caley Nault).
