Maine Maritime Academy Chouinard and Creegan Capture NAC Weekly Honors

Maine Maritime’s Jace Chouinard (North Fort Meyers, Fla.) has been named the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men’s Swimming & Diving Swimmer of the Week, while Jay Creegan (East Brunswick, N.J.) was named the NAC Men’s Swimming & Diving Rookie of the Week. It was a big weekend in the pool for Chouinard as he recorded two ECAC cut times, finishing with a time of 1:48.23 in the 200-yard free and with a time of 1:59.71 in the 200-yard backstroke. He was also part of the 200-yard free relay that finished with a time of 1:29.24. Creegan had a breakout weekend for the Mariners, setting five career records, including resetting the 1650 yard free Maine Maritime team record. His five personal best include; 5:06.19 in the 500-yard free, 23.94 in the 50-yard free, 1:52.99 in the 200-yard free, 52.66 in the 100-yard free, and 17:50.89 in the 1650-yard free, which is a team record. He also participated in three relays for Maine Maritime.
