Maine Maritime’s Curt Heinz (Stuttgart, Germany) has been named to the Maine Men’s Basketball Coaches and Writers Association (MMBCWA) Second Team All-State and All-Defensive Team, while Connor Tuerff (Hendersonville, Tenn.) was named to the MMBCWA All-Rookie Team.
 
Heinz, an International Business & Logistics major, ended his sophomore campaign averaging a double-double with 15.5 points, shooting 49% from the floor, and 15.4 rebounds. The sophomore forward also added 99 assists, 52 blocks, and 20 steals on the year.
 
Tuerff, an International Business & Logistics major, had an impressive freshmen campaign averaging 12.4 points for the Mariners. He also added 53 rebounds, 38 assists, five steals, and one block.
