Maine Maritime had six players in double digits in a 100-34 victory over NVU-Lyndon in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) quarterfinal matchup.

How it Happened: The Mariners came out on fire in the first quarter, going on a 12-0 run to start of the game. Maine Maritime continued to dominate the first quarter, only allowing seven points and scoring 28. The second quarter was more of the same action, with the Mariners taking a 51-17 lead going into halftime.

Maine Maritime continued to build their lead throughout the second half, taking a 100-34 victory against the Hornets.

Inside the Numbers:

  • Grace Huntwork (Gretna, Neb.) led the Mariners 21 points, going 7-8 from the three point line.
  • Evelyn Dagan (Castine, Maine) came off the bench with 13 points and three assists.
  • Erianna Moore (Fitchburg, Mass.) and Jacquelin Castro (Melbourne, Fla.) both added 12 points, while Kali Barber (Tampa, Fla.) chipped in 11 and Sydney Briscoe (Englewood, N.J.) had 10 points.
  • Riann Fortin had 10 points, while Saleena Porter and Kiara Mack added eight points each for the Hornets.
  • Maine Maritime shot 56.7% from the hardwood and 57.6% from three point land, while the Hornets shot 29.8% from the floor and 7.7% from the three point line.
