Maine men’s track and field ends season at Last Chance Meet

The University of Maine men’s track and field team closed its spring season with the UMaine Last Chance Meet at the New Balance Outdoor Track and Field Complex on May 16. The Black Bears finished the meet with a total of 262 points.

The event marked the end of the competitive season for Maine, providing athletes one final opportunity to compete. Eleven first place finishes were recorded by team members during the meet.

Athletes earning first place included Cole Martin, Matt Firlings, Andrew Card, Kaleb Colson, Dan Knight, Ryan Fernstrom, Tim Collins, Will Rush, Gavin McGarrity and Ryker Brown.

The program will now look ahead to preparations for next year’s competitions.

Treacy and Krasnow conclude NCAA Regionals competition in Kentucky

Veselja Treacy and Ruby Krasnow represented Maine at the NCAA Regionals in Lexington, Kentucky. Both athletes placed 37th in their respective events to wrap up their seasons.
