Maine track and field teams to compete in two invitational meets April 17-18

The University of Maine track and field teams will participate in the Sean Collier Invitational at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational at Holy Cross beginning Friday, April 17.

These competitions provide an opportunity for athletes from Maine to test their skills against other collegiate programs. The events are part of the team’s spring schedule and offer a platform for individual and team development as they approach championship season.

The Sean Collier Invitational will take place at Steinbrenner Stadium / Morrison Track, with distance events scheduled for Friday evening starting at 6:30 p.m., followed by additional events on Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. Live results will be available through LeoneTiming, and fans can watch a live stream on FloTrack.

Meanwhile, the Jim Kavanagh Legacy Invitational is set for Saturday, April 18, at Hart Track with competition starting at 10:00 a.m. Live statistics will also be provided by LeoneTiming.

Both meets are expected to draw strong fields from regional colleges. Schedules for each event have been made available by organizers.
