The Lewiston Farmers’ Market (LFM) Manager will collaborate with the LFMA Board of Directors (BOD) and vendor members to grow a vibrant, regional, farmers’ market. The LFM Manager is responsible for overall market operations and will be a supportive collaborator in LFM development and sustainability during a time of exciting growth and transition. Ideal candidates have management and/or administrative experience; are highly relational and culturally competent; organized and creative; and can oversee diverse responsibilities under varied circumstances.
The LFM Manager is a physical, public facing, outdoor job. As a rain or shine market, the Manager will work during most all-weather conditions. The role includes in-person time at the weekly Sunday summer market, between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:30 pm, with occasional earlier set up and later break down times. Outside of day of market hours will include time on the computer, and the phone as well as zoom or in person attendance at full membership and select committee meetings. Orientation and support will be provided along with opportunities for creativity and training. The Manager will be responsible to LFMA members and work closely with, and report to the LFMA BOD.
The LFM Manager is a part time seasonal position with peak hours between the months of May through November and some hours allotted for the off-season December thru April. Peak season will be approximately 15-20 hours/week with approximately 30-40 total off-season hours. Pay rate is $22/hour dependent on qualifications and years of experience.
