Legislators in Maine had until January 10 to submit their requests for legislation for the 2025 session. The complete list of requests, organized by sponsor and subject matter, is accessible on the Maine Legislature's website.

As of January 13, over 200 bills have been printed. Among these are several notable proposals: LD 1 aims to increase storm preparedness for communities, homes, and infrastructure in Maine; LD 54 seeks to require employers to disclose pay ranges; LD 151 proposes allowing a surcharge on customer credit card and debit card transactions; and LD 191 looks to establish a voluntary pass-through entity tax and tax credit.

Further information about these bills can be found on the Maine Legislature's website.
