Saint Joseph's College of Maine NSO Orientation Leader, Michael Wearne

049e

One of our student's favorite things about #SaintJoesMaine is the land they live on. With lakefront access and miles of trails to explore both on and off campus, there's always an adventure to be had. NSO Orientation Leader, Michael Wearne, shared how he makes the most of the SJC campus.

"The lake and trails are perfect when I need some time to myself and also serve as a space to hang out with friends while we listen to music or throw a football around. Even though a majority of our time on campus is during the winter months, I don't let that stop me from getting outside. You can always find me skating on the lakes and ponds around campus, or skiing at Shawnee Peak with friends. I would encourage students to try and embrace the cold by taking part in the activities that Student Engagement sponsors, like weekly ski trips, snowshoe scavenger hunts, and weekly skate nights on Clark's Court." - Michael Wearne '25
