The Maine Department of Transportation has announced paving work and pedestrian safety enhancements in Yarmouth, affecting Routes 1, 88, and 115. This project will extend from Princes Point Road (Route 88) to the Falls Bridge over the Royal River, Marina Road (Route 115) between Main Street and Route 88, and Route 1 from Portland Street to Forest Drive Falls. Traffic from Marina Drive will be rerouted to Route 115, while Route 88 will have a single lane of alternating traffic. Route 1 will maintain two lanes when feasible.
The work is scheduled to start on April 15 and is expected to conclude in July. Coastal Road Repair from Westbrook will be the contractor responsible for the project, which has a contract amount of approximately $1.8 million. Traffic flow in the area is expected to be impacted.
