Maine College of Art The Studios at MASS MoCA Fellowship

Did you know our College partners with MASS MoCA to offer a fellowship covering the cost of residency at the Studios at MASS MoCA for a BIPOC alumni artist each year? In 2022, the Artists at Work organizers were thrilled to expand the search from MFA alumni only to also include BFA graduates from Maine College of Art & Design.

The Studios at MASS MoCA is an artist and writers residency program situated within the museum’s factory campus and surrounded by the beautiful Berkshire Mountains that is operated by MASS MoCA’s Assets for Artists program. The residency runs year-round and hosts up to 10 artists at a time.

We look forward to watching 2022 recipient Heather Flor Cron '20 flourish within this year’s fellowship when attending a two-week residency in January 2023. Evelyn Wong MFA ’19 represented the College in the inaugural year.

We are thankful for the generosity of Dr. Edward M. Friedman ’08 and Carole J. Friedman as well as to MASS MoCA for supporting this unique fellowship offering.
