Maine Maritime women's soccer falls to non-conference opponent, Curry College, 2-0 on Sunday afternoon.
How it Happened: After a scoreless 20 minutes to start the match, the Colonels found the back of the net in the 23rd minute of play to put Curry College on the board and never looked back. The Colonels would score one more time in the second half to claim a 2-0 win over the Mariners.
Inside the Numbers:
- Samantha Borges and Shannon Folan each scored a goal for the Colonels.
- Caitlin Schilbe (Spokane, Wash.) and Lorelei Mason (Gardiner, Maine) both got their first collegiate saves in a Maine Maritime uniform this afternoon, recording four and two respectively.
- Hannah Correa tallied three saves for the Colonels.
- Curry College held an 18-4 advantage in shots and a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks over the Mariners.
