In the second quarter of 2024, seven Food and Cosmetics companies received seven FDA inspections in Maine, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Food and Cosmetics companies FDA inspections were the only type of inspections made in Maine during the second quarter of 2024.

Of all the Maine companies involved in the Food and Cosmetics sector, Cherryfield Foods, Inc. received the most citations from the FDA in the second quarter of 2024.

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplaces and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health.
