Congressman Jared Golden, representing Maine's 2nd district, has recently taken to social media to express his views on various legislative and policy issues. Golden, who has served in the U.S. Congress since 2019 after replacing Bruce Poliquin, addressed concerns ranging from executive accountability to representation of local harvesters and economic challenges.

On March 3, 2025, Congressman Golden tweeted about the issue of insider trading among senior executive officials. He stated: "Senior executive officials have access to info most Americans do not. Trading on it is wrong. Alongside a congressional stock ban, it’s beyond time to hold executive branch leaders accountable to their own duty of public service. My bill cracks down on that corruption."

Later that day, he highlighted his new role on the Natural Resources Committee and its impact on his ability to represent Maine harvesters in Washington. In his tweet at 17:40 UTC, he shared: "As a new member of the Natural Resources Committee, I’ll have even greater ability to represent Maine harvesters in Washington. Representation starts with listening. Great to join the Fishermen’s Forum and hear from directly from the Mainers who work our waters."

On March 4, 2025, Golden commented on economic issues affecting Americans due to corporate practices and government spending: "If prices go up because of corporate greed or irresponsible government spending, that’s a loss for the American people."
