Jared Golden, currently serving as the U.S. Representative for Maine's 2nd district, took to social media to express his views on recent political developments. Golden, who replaced Bruce Poliquin in 2019, is known for his focus on bipartisan cooperation and support for local industries.

On April 3, 2025, Golden expressed his disagreement with the administration's decision to shut down the only agency focused solely on America's libraries and museums. Reflecting on the importance of these institutions, Golden stated, "Mainers understand the value these institutions have in connecting, educating, and even attracting folks from away." He emphasized his commitment to supporting this mission.

Later that same day, Golden reiterated his dedication to bipartisan cooperation. He tweeted about his willingness to collaborate with either political party to revive American manufacturing. By doing so, Golden aims to enhance economic self-sufficiency in the country.

The following day, on April 4, 2025, Golden announced his support for a bipartisan effort alongside Representative Brian Fitzpatrick. The initiative seeks to challenge a presidential order deemed anti-union. Golden highlighted his commitment to protecting federal workers’ rights through this collaborating effort.
