Congressman Jared Golden, representing Maine's 2nd district since 2019, has been vocal on various political issues through his social media presence. Golden, who succeeded Bruce Poliquin and previously served in the Maine House of Representatives, has addressed concerns ranging from political division to environmental policies.

On November 19, 2024, Congressman Jared Golden expressed frustration with the current political system. He stated that "Americans on both sides are fed up with a political system that incentivizes division". In collaboration with Representative Mike Gallagher (@repmgp), he proposed a bipartisan task force to explore solutions such as open primaries and gerrymandering fixes that have shown success in Maine.

Later that day, Golden shared a tweet tagging Representative Mike Gallagher. The tweet simply included a link: @RepMGP https://t.co/QXeN4JjOcq.

On November 21, 2024, Golden critiqued Maine's approach to electric vehicles. He pointed out several issues: "Maine’s electric vehicle approach: a) has poorly targeted rebates; b) is on an unrealistic timeline; c) misses the bulk of actual pollution." He concluded by stating that these factors demonstrate why EV mandates are poor policy for the state.
