The Maine Department of Transportation has announced inspection work on the Deer Isle-Sedgwick Bridge, which bridges Route 15 over Eggemoggin Reach, linking Deer Isle and Sedgwick. This inspection will affect traffic flow on the bridge.

Scheduled to begin on Monday, April 28, and continue until May 16, the inspection will result in single-lane closures during weekdays and Saturdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No work will be conducted on Sundays.

Vehicles exceeding 10 feet in width needing access during the inspection should provide at least 24 hours' notice. Crews can be contacted in real time should a wide-load vehicle require passage, potentially causing additional traffic delays. Field crews can be reached at (603)-864-9268 from April 28 to May 3 and at (802)-376-6230 after May 5. Should these not be responsive, the project manager is available at (617)-733-5097.

The project, contracted to TranSystems of Boston, is valued at approximately $395,000.
