On February 4, 2025, Congressman Golden expressed frustration over the lack of progress in reopening the West Paris Post Office. "It’s unacceptable that nearly four years after the closure of the West Paris Post Office — and months after signing a new lease — there’s still no concrete reopening plan." He stated that he had sent a letter to Postmaster General DeJoy demanding answers and a resumption of services.

Later that evening, Golden commented on Elon Musk's actions regarding former President Trump. He tweeted about Musk's independence from presidential approval. "Musk is stepping on the president’s toes — making decisions without his approval, pursuing his own agenda. If I had an employee that sidelined me the way Musk is sidelining Trump, I don’t think I’d just sit back and take it."
