Congressman Jared Golden, representing Maine's 2nd district since 2019, shared his views on several issues through a series of tweets. The congressman addressed topics ranging from labor rights to bipartisanship and local agriculture.
On February 12, 2025, Congressman Golden expressed concern over potential policy changes affecting the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). He stated that these changes would benefit wealthy individuals like "Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos," but would not be advantageous for "working-class Americans." "Kneecapping NLRB and shuttering CFPB — great for Musk, Zuckerberg and Bezos, not so great for working-class Americans."
Later that day, Golden highlighted his involvement in bipartisan efforts within the Problem Solvers Caucus. He mentioned participating in working groups focused on trade, permitting reform, and energy. His tweet emphasized collaboration across party lines: "Bipartisanship happens in the Problem Solvers Caucus. This Congress, I'm part of bipartisan working groups on trade, permitting reform, and energy. Excited to dig in with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle."
In another tweet on February 12, Golden acknowledged the contributions of Maine growers to local communities. He thanked Harry and Nancy Ricker of Ricker Hill Orchards for their hospitality during his visit to Washington D.C., praising their cider production as well: "Maine growers put nutritious food on the table for our local communities. Thanks to Harry and Nancy Ricker of Ricker Hill Orchards for setting up a great visit here in DC (and for making a great cider back home, too)."
