On February 21, 2025, Congressman Golden stated: "We cannot tolerate the politicization of the US Military, and I'll do everything I can to prevent it. Today I joined a bipartisan group of fellow veterans in Congress to demand answers about the Trump Administration’s reported plans to dismiss General and Flag Officers." His post underscores his commitment to maintaining an apolitical stance within military ranks.

Following this, he further commented on the issue by stating: "These officers were confirmed by the Senate & served admirably under presidents of both parties. Our military and all Americans deserve assurances that the most lethal, ethical military the world has ever known will continue to perform its duties without regard for politics." This statement highlights his advocacy for preserving the integrity and impartiality of military operations.

Later that day, Congressman Golden addressed broader federal policy changes with another post: "New federal directives and executive orders from the Trump Administration are coming every day. If you are or think you may be affected by federal policy and program changes, I want to hear from you:" He included a link inviting constituents who may be impacted by these changes to reach out.
