The Maine Department of Transportation (MDOT) has announced a temporary closure of the southbound side of I-95 near Mile Marker 152 in Pittsfield. The closure is scheduled for Friday, March 21, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This measure is necessary to allow crews to repair pavement on the median crossover.

During this period, southbound traffic will be redirected. Drivers are advised to exit at Exit 157 in Newport and follow Route 100 and Somerset Avenue to reenter I-95 at Exit 150 in Pittsfield. Detour routes will be clearly marked with signs.

This closure is part of an ongoing project aimed at replacing interstate bridge decks over the Sebasticook River and Route 152. Northeast Paving of Bangor has been contracted for this project, which carries a construction contract amounting to approximately $3.7 million.
