Congressman Jared Golden, representing Maine’s 2nd district, has recently addressed key issues through a series of tweets. Serving in the U.S. Congress since 2019, Golden previously held a position in the Maine House of Representatives from 2014 to 2018. He is known for his active engagement on social media platforms to communicate his legislative initiatives and viewpoints.

On February 13, 2025, Congressman Golden announced a new plan aimed at supporting middle-class families by replacing the Child Tax Credit with more generous monthly payments. He stated, "Middle-class families need help. My new plan replaces the Child Tax Credit with more generous, targeted monthly payments that give parents real choices about the best way to raise their kids."

In a tweet dated February 14, 2025, Golden expressed his views on American industrial policy. He emphasized that tariffs alone are insufficient to rebuild industry and highlighted the need for comprehensive policies. He wrote, “Tariffs alone will not rebuild American industry. We also need sound tax, energy, regulatory and financial policy to achieve their full promise and reap their full rewards. But the first step is to stop cheap imports from undermining [our] manufacturers.”

Later that day, Congressman Golden reflected on political strategy in an op-ed commemorating the 30th anniversary of @HouseBlueDogs leaders. In this piece, he reiterated the importance of maintaining a diverse party stance: "30 years later, we're still slipping the leash to ensure our party remains a big tent."
